About the Event

Book Musicals are "story-propelled" musicals (much of what the average audience would consider "traditional" musicals). This course will explore primary examples Oklahoma! Showboat and The Book of Mormon, as well as a dip into other notable examples like The Sound of Music, Kiss Me Kate, and La Cage aux Folles. This theory-based workshop requires no preparation and can be taken as a standalone or in conjunction with other sessions in the History of Musical Theatre pack.
