About the Event

Jukebox Musicals bring popular music to the stage, virtually "guaranteeing" ticket sales. They are heavily reliant on nostalgia and the plot is generally secondary to the music. This session will look at the primary examples of Mamma Mia, Jersey Boys and Moulin Rouge, whilst also touching upon various other shows, including Motown, We Will Rock You and Ringin' in the Rain. This theory-based workshop requires no preparation and can be taken as a standalone or in conjunction with other sessions in the Musical Theatre History pack.

Date: Tues. May 25, 2021

Time: 7-8:00pm

Cost: 25 CHF

Location: Online (via Zoom)

Language of Instruction: English (please note this course will involve some reading of English texts)
