About the Event

Concept Musicals intentionally break from the traditional musical form to show a different perspective and elicit reactions and responses from the audience. They frequently have non-linear stories, and Sondheim is often called the "king" of this style. The final session in the Musical Theatre History series will explore primary musicals Company, A Chorus Line and Assassins, whilst also touching on other shows including The Last Five Years, Follies, Cabaret and more. This theory-based workshop requires no preparation and can be taken as a standalone or in conjunction with other sessions in the Musical Theatre History pack.
