About the Event
We’ll begin from the very beginning — the essence of storytelling itself. Before we even approach how a play is structured, we’ll ask a more fundamental question: what is a story? And why, since the dawn of humanity, have we felt the deep, irresistible need to tell them?
From an anthropological and neuroscientific perspective, we’ll explore what drives us to narrate, and how stories shape both our minds and our cultures. From there, we’ll dive into the key theories of narrative and character development — understanding how a character is born, evolves, and comes alive on stage. Once our foundations are set, we’ll move into the architecture of a theatrical text: the division into acts, the rhythm of scenes, and the heartbeat of dramatic structure.
This will be a hands-on, creative workshop. Every concept will be explored through practical exercises — both individual and group work — aimed at transforming theory into experience. By…
